The donation run #224 to help Ukrainian children.
On March 16th, WE:DO participated in the #224Run, a social contribution activity to help Ukrainian children.
The number 224 in #224Run represents February 24th, the day when Ukraine's ordinary daily life was shattered due to Russia's invasion.
World Vision Korea initiated #DonationRun to help vulnerable children affected by escalating conflicts and wars, especially those in conflict-prone areas where safety is not guaranteed. WE:DO participated in this initiative by running to support Ukrainian children and to raise awareness among many people.
This session took place at Nike The Hyundai in Seoul and was joined by WE:DO members,
WRC (World Vision Run Club) crew, as well as PACER members Jinseop and Dohyun
from The Hyundai Seoul, and Hyemin from the Head Office Education Team.
Before the session began, Daun from WRC shared the purpose of the donation run
and provided insights into the current situation of Ukrainian children.
And together, they ran 2.24 kilometers to reflect on the significance of the event.
After the run, we each made donations with heartfelt contributions,
and we shared the campaign with many others through social media in line with the campaign's purpose.
The power of running to help someone and the added meaning when done together was
something we felt once again on that day.
The funds collected through this donation run will be used to provide water and food to the children in Ukraine.
The ongoing war is not over yet. We hope for the safety of all Ukrainian citizens and for the war to end as soon as possible.
