2022 1th DY Awards

It's already 2023, leaving 2022 behind. How has the past year been for everyone?
Thanks to the efforts of all the Daeyeon members, we were able to spend 2022 gratefully.
So, this year's year-end party is named 'DY Awards.' It's a gathering to encourage and support each other, symbolizing appreciation for the hard work, thanks, and future cooperation.
Due to the significant barrier that is COVID-19, it has been challenging to gather in person. However, we were delighted that this time, for the first time in two years, the head coaches from both the headquarters and the branches could come together.
We could have rented a larger venue for this event, but considering that the company moved this year, we chose a beautiful office lounge space, famous for its interior design, to create a more relaxed atmosphere.
Now, let's hear from the hosts of Part 1 and Part 2 about the DY Awards! Shall we meet them?
Hello! I'm Han Soyeon from the HR team.
The first part of DY Awards was organized by the HR team!
IHan Soyeon, and Seol Jinhee were in charge of being the MCs :)
Handling the MC role for DY Awards, which took place offline for the first time in two years,
I was full of worries like "Can I do well?"
However, with the help of other team members and a lot of encouragement, I was able to gather the courage to do it.
At first, I was calm and full of confidence, thinking, 'I can do it well!'
But as time went by, I started losing sleep at night, my heart raced to the point of bursting,
and I even experienced tingling sensations in my arms and legs...
On the highly anticipated D-1 rehearsal day, as someone who is usually introverted,
it was challenging for us to lead in front of many people and synchronize our performance.
This made us feel nervous, and we made more mistakes.
Thoughts like, 'Why didn't we practice more beforehand?' filled our minds, and we had moments of regret.
On the long-awaited D-Day, before the start of the 1st DY Awards event,
we received a lot of encouragement and support from many people, and we began the first part of the event!
The opening speech by Director Kim Woo-dong marked the beginning,
followed by a presentation by Assistant Manager Lee Sung-woo, the head of the HR team,
on the changes in the system for 2023.
Then came the announcement of long-service awards!
In an effort to provide more meaningful rewards to employees,
the reward categories were changed.
Long-serving employees who qualified received the gifts prepared by our team,
and we hope that they will not only feel a sense of belonging to the company
but also pride in their long-term dedication.
Long service at DY is divided into categories
of 1 year, 2 years, 4 years, 6 years, 10 years, 15 years, and 20 years.
We hope that in the future,
everyone at DY will reach their 20-year milestone and receive the reward equivalent
to 10 million KRW as a token of our appreciation.
Next up was the announcement of promotions. In 2023,
we had 100 promotions for store professionals, 6 for coaches, and 3 for head coaches,
totaling 109 promotions in our stores!
At our headquarters, we had a total of 11 promotions,
including 3 assistant managers, 2 managers, 3 department managers, 2 directors, and 1 executive.
Congratulations to all the promoted individuals!
It sounds like the DY Awards 1st part went well,
and you didn't find it as burdensome or difficult as you may have initially thought.
It's great that it has been a positive experience for you,
and you're even thinking about bringing more fun
and engaging elements to next year's event in a brighter atmosphere.

I'm Yoon Jungu, the manager of the Store Operations Team, in charge of Part 2.
The name has been changed from the previous OCA (Operations Contest Awards) to DY Awards,
and we have planned the 1st DY Awards.
Unlike OCA, which had somewhat limited content production, the name change
has been made to allow for more diverse, abundant, and meaningful times!
We ask for your continued interest in DY Awards.
As we wrap up 2022 and welcome 2023 at Daeyon,
we decided on the key theme for the event, which is 'JUMP.'
In thinking about what Daeyon needs to do to 'JUMP' in 2023,
we emphasized the importance of understanding the 'GEN Z' generation.
Daeyon is seeing more and more employees born in the 2000s.
We thought that if we can understand and respect each other's generations,
we can communicate more smoothly and understand each other better.
That's why we created a video content called 'Wheeled Daeyon,'
where we can have honest conversations. It was gratifying
to hear that you found it enjoyable and that you could explore various thoughts between generations!
We also planned a content called 'DY Planet' out of curiosity about what they think about Daeyon.
It provided an opportunity to glimpse into the thoughts of employees about the company!
It was a time to rethink the aspects that might be overlooked and reflect
on what it means to be a "happy company that shares healthy energy together"!
As I mentioned earlier, we changed the name for the event,
and one of the reasons was to allow more stores and head office employees to bask in the glory of winning.
As a result, various awards were presented during the event.
Who became the MVP of the much-anticipated 2022 Daeyon?
Before proceeding with this award, we had a time to watch a recap of the incentive trip
for the MVPs of 2019 and 2021 through a video.
Our head coaches mentioned that it was a good time for athletes in each store to get motivated.
They provided a lot of feedback, so I thought I should make more motivational content in the future!
Following that, at the 2022 MVP Awards ceremony,
Coach Kim Eun-hye from Incheon Moda received the award.
Congratulations, Coach Kim!
You've worked really hard in 2022,
and I hope you'll continue to work hard to make Daeyon 'JUMP' in 2023.
I'll do my best too!!

After the 1st and 2nd DY Awards events, we enjoyed a delicious beef dinner!
It might have been the moment everyone was looking forward to the most.
Since we hadn't seen each other for a while,
we gathered to share a meal, enjoy tasty beef, and engage in many conversations.
These conversations covered a wide range of topics, from work-related discussions to our current interests.
We already knew that Daeyeon's energy was incredible,
but when the employees from both the headquarters and the stores came together,
the atmosphere was filled with such enthusiasm and passion.
As we talked and got to know each other better, seeing faces we had only heard about,
it felt like we were growing closer.
This made us optimistic that communication and collaboration will improve,
leading to positive impacts in the future.
I hope we have more moments like this in the future.
I initially thought it might be awkward, but under the name of Daeyeon,
our hearts were full of support for each other,
and we're colleagues who walk this journey together.
I hope we can create even more wonderful memories together!
Will we be able to meet again soon, right? I hope so...!
