The sports equipment distribution specialist company, Daeyeon Co., Ltd., known as a "Running Mate" for its philanthropic efforts, operates Nike and Jordan stores. In addition to supporting the fundamental aspect of sports, which is athletic footwear, they've garnered attention in the philanthropic sector through the "Dalkona" challenge, where the donations increase as the distance covered in running increases.
Daeyeon began its journey in 1995 with its first store, the Gyeonggi Bucheon branch. They now operate around 70 Nike stores nationwide, including unique Nike concept stores like "Jordan Seoul" and "Nike Style Hongdae." As South Korea's largest specialized sports distribution company, Daeyeon's philanthropy is closely linked to their core sport-related activities. They support aspiring athletes and engage in various community contributions that promote physical and mental well-being.
Recently, Daeyeon joined the ranks of Love's Fruit's distinguished corporate donors as number 160. They stepped up to help neighbors facing difficulties during the COVID-19 pandemic. Kim Dae-ho, the CEO, expressed his happiness at being able to offer assistance and hope to their neighbors during these challenging times and promised continued efforts to share more healthy energy with others.
The generous donation of 100 million KRW as a distinguished corporate donor will be used for various welfare projects, including educational support for children and teenagers from low-income families, as well as initiatives aimed at helping vulnerable neighbors affected by COVID-19.
