Donation run to help Ukrainian children #224 Running
On March 16th, WE:DO participated in the #224 run to help Ukrainian children as a social contribution activity.
The number 224 in the 224 run is February 24th. It was the day when their normal daily lives were disrupted by Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
World Vision Korea started the #DonationRun to help children
who are particularly vulnerable to conflict, whose safety is not guaranteed due to escalating conflict and war,
and WE:DO participated to help Ukrainian children through running and to inform many people about this.
This session was held at Nike The Hyundai Seoul, and I ran with WE:DO members,
WRC (World Vision Run Club) crew, The Hyundai Seoul PACER Jinseop and Dohyeon,
and Hyemin from the training team.
Before the session started,
we were able to hear from WRC's Daeun about the purpose of the donation run
and the current situation of children in Ukraine.
And while reflecting on the meaning, we ran 2.24km together.
After the run was over, we each made a donation with all our heart and shared it with many people
through social media in line with the purpose of the campaign.
It was a day where I felt once again that running has the power to help someone
and is even more meaningful when we do it together.
The funds raised through this donation run will be used to deliver water and food to children in Ukraine.
A war that is not over yet...
I hope that all Ukrainian people will be safe and that the war will end as soon as possible.
